This morning, we officially announced our $3M seed funding round led by Leo Capital, with participation from Converge VC and angel investors. The $3M funding will fuel the work we have ahead of us in improving the advisor-client meeting experience and making client intelligence more accessible—and we’re ready!
Zeplyn’s mission
My co-founder and I started Zeplyn a year ago after recognizing that our engineering backgrounds and AI expertise could be used to solve the everyday problems financial advisors face. Each day since then has been focused on our commitment to rebuilding the wealth management experience from an AI-native perspective.
In the early months, we invested a lot of time learning about the day-to-day activities of our design partner RIA firms. We uncovered the complexities of their workflows and inadequacies of their manual processes, especially in regards to client meetings. We saw how problematic it was for financial advisors to spend 3-4 hours on admin work per client meeting: building agendas, taking and logging notes, creating and delegating post-meeting tasks, following-up with clients. We also discovered that while 60% of data gathering happens in client meetings, less than 25% of meetings were properly documented in CRMs.
Advisors needed to get out from behind the long, complex, manual tasks and in front of clients. They needed to capture and document more and highly accurate client data. The existing processes were creating operational inefficiencies that stood as a barrier to growth. To solve these bottlenecks, we launched our flagship product, Zeplyn Meeting Assistant.
Where we are today
Zeplyn Meeting Assistant takes unstructured conversational data and turns it into highly accurate notes. Our AI streamlines meeting prep, note-taking, and post-meeting workflows and saves financial advisors an average of 10-12 hours per week, freeing them to invest their time where they’ll earn the highest return: building relationships and scaling their firm.
